Yesterday, it was finally time again. My first in-person Magento meetup in two years. The nice folks at Phoenix Media had invited everyone to a Magento meetup at their wonderful Stuttgart office (with a great view of the surrounding Stuttgart area from the 17th floor).
On arriving (a little earlier than planned), I found a perfectly organized meetup. Food and drink were already very well taken care of. There was something to eat and chilled drinks of all kinds. Personally, what food is available at a Magento meetup is not all that important to me. The topics and exchanging ideas with other people should take center stage. But a chilled drink certainly contributes to everyone's comfort and should not be taken for granted. A meetup like this involves quite a bit of organizational work.
After an office tour, the office slowly filled up. It was nice to see how many people turned up. There were some new faces too. From "old hands" to newcomers, a nice little group came together.
The event was also broadcast remotely. Four talks were scheduled on the agenda. I had the honor of contributing the third one myself.
The evening got underway with the first talk.
Magento 2 Cypress Testing Suite
Peter Jaap Blaakmeer from elgentos kicked off the evening with his presentation. The topic was creating and running acceptance tests using Cypress.
After a general introduction to the tool, he presented a test suite for Magento that had been made available entirely as open source.
