Adding SSH Keys to ddev
The auth ssh command copies the SSH keys in the user's home directory into the ddev-ssh-agent container.
This lets us use our usual SSH keys inside ddev project containers and access private resources.
ddev auth ssh
Having many SSH keys in the SSH directory can cause problems.
The OpenSSH client tries each key, but the number of authentication attempts is limited, so that limit may be exceeded.
There is a workaround: pass the command the path to an alternative directory containing only the required SSH keys.
On my computer, I created the ~/.ssh/ddev directory and placed just one key in it.
You can then register it like this:
ddev auth ssh -d ~/.ssh/ddev
