The 43rd edition of the Magento Stammtisch Rhein-Main was all about artificial intelligence.
Even before the official start of the meetup, many netz98 employees and guests had gathered for a relaxed barbecue evening. The first conversations took place and connections were made in a laid-back atmosphere. The mood was lively and everyone was in good spirits.
The official part of the evening began with a welcome to the guests that was entirely in keeping with the AI theme: participants were welcomed with generated text and a cloned voice – a first taste of what was still to come. OK, the result was still clearly recognizable as AI-generated. But it was also interesting to see what could be done with a 6-second! audio sample.
The highlight of the evening was certainly the talk by David Lambauer, titled The Prompt Operator: Unlocking the Potential of AI in eCommerce. David gave an impressive demonstration of how AI tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney can already be used to create content for online shops. He covered both the technical aspects and practical applications. Even for AI newcomers, the talk was easy to understand and provided plenty of practical tips. The insight into AI's current challenges and limitations was particularly interesting.
The talk was followed by an e-commerce quiz prepared by several netz98 employees and – very much in the spirit of the evening's theme – by AI as well. The images and answer choices were generated using AI and brought plenty of fun and laughter to the participants.

Overall, the 43rd edition of the Magento Stammtisch Rhein-Main was less controversial than last time, but all the more entertaining. It was an evening that once again showed how quickly AI is becoming established and what opportunities it offers – not just in e-commerce.
