Webmontag in Frankfurt

Last night I went to Webmontag in Frankfurt with a few colleagues. Webmontag is a fairly alternative gathering of developers and people interested in innovation from the Rhine-Main region.

It all took place at the Brotfabrik (Frankfurt/Hausen).
Once we arrived, I first sipped a small Coke (I had to drive).
Then things got underway.

The following talks were given:

  1. AJAX meets accessibility (Martin Kliehm)
  2. Prototyping (Oliver Haag)
  3. Neighborhood DSL (Pierre Kerchner)
  4. email 2.0 (Pierre Kerchner)
  5. debugConsole (Andreas Demmer)

The first talk, on accessibility, was the most interesting to me. Standards that will only become relevant in six months were already being examined.

Finally, my colleague Andreas wanted to give a short talk about his open-source project "debugConsole."
His laptop had apparently seen the DebugConsole once too often and promptly refused to work. When Andreas then borrowed a Mac laptop, the laughter knew no bounds.
But charm and humor still managed to save the talk.

All in all, a successful evening. I think I will be heading to the Brotfabrik in Frankfurt more often.
